The founder of this small Pennsylvania company was inspired by the American Arts and Craft tradition of woodworking, tile-making, and decorative arts in the region. Beginning his career as a furniture-maker, he has been exploring and refining hardwood cooking tools since the late 1970's.

I have purchased right-handed Jonathan spoons for myself in the past and love them.  My left-handed friend appreciated the quality of my hand-made spoons but found that he needed to use them upside down.  Now he'll have a set of his own to treasure.
