The stork design of these scissors is centuries old. French midwives used them for cutting umbilical cords. Though midwifery became less common as time went by, women still kept these scissors in their sewing boxes, and the scissors evolved into embroidery scissors.


What Makes This Product Left-Handed?

  • The blades are reversed, so that lefties can see what they are cutting.

I've been using these for my thread. While it has taken me a bit to get used to left handed scissors like these. As I'm used to using the right handed version of these in my left hand. It definitely didn't take more than 3 sewing sessions to fully get used to them!! I will never go back to right handed sewing scissors again!!
