I needed cookie dough scoops and these are perfect.  The so-called ambidextrous scoopers still have the sweeper on the wrong side.  I was able to purchase three graduated sizes which will speed up my baking immensely and not take a toll on my hands.

I got these for my Lefty Chef daughter-in-law who loves to make sweet treats for, well honestly, for anybody who looks a quart low.  She immediately washed and used all three sizes to test them thoroughly, and she is very happy with them and has given away the lesser human versions that never worked very well in her advanced Lefty grip.

Lefties, rejoice! After a lifetime of struggling in a right-handed world, I finally found salvation: these left-handed cookie scoops. Seriously—my baking life will never be the same. I have been using right handed scoops for years, and using my right hand to scoop cookie doughs.

I’m ambidextrous, but there are some fine motor tasks that I’m more comfortable performing with my left hand, and scooping cookie dough is one of those tasks.

I have really enjoyed using my new left-handed scoops. They are very well made. I wish I had bit the bullet and just bought the left handed scoops years ago.

5 of 5 Lefty Portion Scoops I've wanted for years! March 20, 2025

Most ice cream scoops have the sweeper and trigger on the right, making them extremely difficult to use in your left hand. My workaround has always been to hold the trigger to bring the sweeper to the left and scoop and release the trigger to empty the tool. Or I use a scoop that doesn't have a sweeper. Neither of these solutions work well for sticky things like muffin batter.
Finally, Lefty's has scoops with the sweeper on the left, and they're a game changer. Last night I made corn muffins and got the correct amount of batter in each muffin tin with ease.  Thank you, Lefty's for finally having the one kitchen tool that I've wanted for years.
